When The Franklin Mint sought the approval to produce their 450 SL, the folks at Mercedes Benz requested a favor. They wanted a special color European version, limited to 450 units. This is one of the rarest-ever Franklin Mint models. While not numbered on the chassis, each bears its number on the hang-tag and the box. The European model has single headlamps rather than dual and no bumper guards.
