This is the way it used to be at The Franklin Mint. We sold hundreds of these in Ermine White in the early '90s. This is the identical mold and the same outdated technology. However, that being said, what this latest FM '60 Impala may lack in bells and whistles, it more than makes up for in "eye appeal". (The 2,500 limited edition figure doesn't hurt it's attraction either.) I displayed it a few days in my case and it does grab your attention. The two tone blue paint job really pops, and the houndstooth seat upholstery replication is improved over the older red and white versions. Still powered by the Blue Flame Six, they did finally make one change I've been pointing out since my FM days. The incorrect amber parking lenses are gone! With the shortage of new precision 1:24s being offered, I would recommend this addition to your collection.
