Franklin Mint / 1934 Chrysler Airflow / FM Collector Club '03 Ltd. Ed. 9,900 / FM DISCONTINUED / 1:24th Scale
Black
This is the 2003
Franklin Mint Die-Cast Collector Club car, from a brand-new tool with more
than 150 parts, which will be retired on 12/31/03. This is the second
(third if you count the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am) of the official FM Die Cast
Club images. It was created in response to collector demand, from a new
tool. The 1934 Chrysler Airflow was the first car designed using a wind tunnel, about its forward looking design features, and its Art Deco styling features. It certainly broke new ground in its day and deserves a place in automotive history. The overall proportions and fit are excellent. The chrome accents and body-seam details are sharply done. There’s plenty of detail under the hood, fine grill work and the interior is one of the best. The model definitely looks sharp in gloss black, with its Art Deco chrome accents |
